Our three main areas of advocacy are child protection, criminal proceedings and intervention orders. We offer free, half-hour consultations to new clients. In this time, we will discuss your legal issues, how we can provide assistance, and whether you are likely to be eligible for Legal Aid funding.
If you are eligible for Legal Aid funding, we can help you in obtaining a grant. We can also act for clients on a private basis if you do not meet the Legal Aids means test.
Child Protection
Our firm has decades of experience in Child Protection matters. We act for parents, children and carers in child protection matters. We can help you in protection applications through providing representation at court and ongoing case assistance. We assist in matters that go to appeal in the County Court and Victorian Supreme Court. We can also help you with mediations, conciliations and case plan hearings.
Criminal Proceedings
We act for children, young people and adults in criminal proceedings. Our solicitors have a wide range of experience in the Children’s Court, Magistrate’s Court, Country Court and Supreme Court jurisdictions. We can help you with things such as bail applications, pleas, contested hearings, mediation processes, diversions and appeals.
Intervention Orders
We also assist people with intervention orders, including applicants and respondents.
